  • too close for comfort!

Agh so its LESS THAN A WEEK until i embark on my intrepid adventure, hitchiking to Belgrade for charity. After crazy housemate broke his finger, and we were unaware of where casualty was or how to get there, and could not get a taxi, I am slightly concerned about us even getting out of Sheffield!! Fran, Adam and I seem to lack mates that could drive us to a service station on the M1. So the plan is to blag a train. Apparently its been done before.. but i'm slightly concerned by the lack of a back-up plan!

Problemo numero duo is the quality of our emergency accommodation. I met adam for a trial tent -erecting session this afternoon. Whilst setting up the tent in the middle of a suburban park, it became apparent that the three man tent adam had promised was actually quite clearly a two man tent (for two very small men). Well at least we won't be cold!

  • Worlds worst flirt WLTM Sunday boyfriend to salvage reputation

I am quite possibly the world's biggest flirt. and its got me into all sorts of trouble recently. (Note to self: do not kiss senior staff with bunnyboiler ex-girlfriends who also work with you) So I'm debating... maybe I should concentrate on one guy, and maybe go on a few dates, make it official, have cosy nights in. It would definitely make Valentines Day more bearable.

In this frame of mind, I went for coffee with the sweetest guy from uni the other day, and he says he wants to see me again. At first I thought 'great! he can be the one that makes a respectable woman of me!' Alas, two days later I'm having second thoughts. Do I even have time for a relationship? Because he is definitely boyfriend material. I work three nights a week, have dancing once a week, like to go out at least twice a week... Maybe I could have a Sunday boyfriend. Saying all this, he hasn't text me yet so I'm jumping ahead a bit. And anyway, its a long time until the next Valentines Day. Maybe the boyfriend idea can wait.

  • Stereotypical student in danger of losing lazy streak!

I believe there are three types of students.

First off, u have the geeks- in the Library 9-5, shout out in lectures, have read the dictionary, u get the idea.

Secondly, theres those that get all involved in every society going, run for union president and are handing out leaflets on the concourse every day.

Then there is the lazy, this-morning-watcher, go out and get drunk type of student. That is me. That is my life. I am the epitome of student number three. (And as much as the keen-beans protest against the stereotype, i believe i am amongst the vast majority)

So I'm experiencing a mini-crisis. Why am i suddenly social secretary for a dance society and hitch-hiking to Belgrade for charity?! I'm in danger of making the transition from type three to type two.

Risk: nervous breakdown. Solution: involves alcohol, loud music, and my bed. There is still time to salvage my-inner-laziness.

I get some comfort from the fact that type one student is most definitely not happening any time soon!
